Prayer and Praise!
Apex
· Thank you Jesus for Your Almighty provisions twice a week
· The Backyard Bible Club has begun. We are praying for more lambs to attend and to help serve this community.
Cary
· A lamb who has been looking for a place at an Oxford House has finally gotten in. He has also completed a week of very hard work in the heat and has continued to meet the requirement of attending a substance abuse meeting every day for a month. We are thanking God for His mighty hand in helping find work for this lamb and another and for keeping them on course. Another praise is both lambs are seeking help with managing their money so they can continue to build up lives that glorify God.
· Please continue to pray for a couple that recently moved into an apartment. They have received a paycheck and have put money away for rent. Please pray that the Lord helps them find strength to continue working and saving and resist any urges to return to old habits.
Garner
· A couple is continuing to look for ways to stay together and get housing. They may be moving to Mississippi to be with family if the family can help with transportation.
· Please keep a lamb in prayer as she awaits a decision on where she will be living after many months of hospitalization.
· The lamb who suffered third-degree burns on his foot is back in the woods and reunited with his dog. Both appear to be doing well, but please pray this lamb can resist alcohol.
· Please continue to pray for a lamb who is trying to get back to his land in Arkansas. At church this week, the message was about giving your life to Christ and about avoiding drunkenness. This lamb admitted he felt it was directed at him.
· Please continue to pray for a lamb who is struggling with liver problems from drinking.
· Please continue to pray for a location for the Garner Thursday mission to meet out of the weather, maybe a church on South Saunders St, 401 or Wilmington St will open their doors one night a week. The Lord with His perfect timing find a perfect place.
· Prayers for a hair stylist at the Garner showers were answered. A lamb says the woman apologized for not bringing all of her clippers and promised to be prepared to do more styling next time.
General
· Please keep lambs in prayer as they are asked to make decisions of walking away from their addictions and walking toward Jesus.
· Thank you Jesus for a lamb who is continuing to be substance free and involved with a support group through AA.
· Please continue to pray for support circles as these lambs readjust to society and are welcomed into the Body of Christ.
· Praise God for the existing support circle as the Body of Christ encircles a lamb with the love of Jesus!
· Thank you Lord for being scheduler of all Christians’ time.
Missionary Testimonials
A missionary who brought a lamb to alcohol treatment several weeks ago was blessed to get to know several other recovering addicts while waiting there. One young man, after a long conversation, said he would like the missionary to be his “counselor” where previous psychologists and doctors have failed. The missionary said he would only be able to help the man find Christ, the ULTIMATE counselor, and offered to give the man a card so he could be contacted later.
The man was taken to another facility before contact information could be exchanged. But, as God would have it, the missionary ran into the man at a fast-food drive-through last week. They have established communication and are looking for a time to meet and discuss what this man wants to do with his life. Please pray that God is glorified in this process.
God’s Provision – Donations of Time & Finances
· Thank the Lord for the showers each week from the Garner church Thank You Jesus for serving hearts!
· Thank you Jesus for all the food donated by area grocery stores, churches, individuals, and caterers! Thank you Lord for all the donations of clothing, storage places, and toiletries donated this week.
· We thank you, Jesus, for those who have donated time showing the love of Jesus through relationships and support circles, especially as new ones are developing across Cary and Apex. Praise God!
More and more people are being drawn into communion with one another through the least of these, whether homeless, poverty stricken, prostitutes, drug dealers, or gang members, and so many blessings are being shared!
We are thanking you for your prayers and support as the Lord continues to provide abundantly for this ministry!
